TV One Crew Vehicle Crash Claims Three Lives on Trans Java Toll Road
Pemalang. A TV One crew vehicle was involved in a fatal accident on the Trans Java Toll Road in Pemalang, Central Java, Thursday at around 6:30 a.m., resulting in three deaths and two injuries.
The victims included the driver, Suardi, who sustained severe head injuries, a fractured nose, and a laceration on his right leg. Suardi, a resident of Jalan Taman Asri II, Penggilingan, East Jakarta, was pronounced dead at the scene and later taken to RSI Al Ikhlas Taman Pemalang Hospital.
The second fatality, journalist Marwan, who was seated in the second row behind the driver, suffered chest injuries and a chin wound and was also declared dead at the scene.
The third victim, cameraman Alwan Syahmidi, seated in the third row, sustained a fractured right foot and abdominal injuries. Alwan, a resident of Jalan Joglo Raya, Kembangan, West Jakarta, was also pronounced dead at the scene and subsequently taken to RSI Al Ikhlas Taman Pemalang Hospital.
Two passengers survived the accident with injuries. TV journalist Felicia Amellinda Deqi Priata, 24, who was seated in the front passenger seat, sustained minor head trauma and a laceration on the back of her head. Felicia, a resident of Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, was conscious and received treatment at RSI Al Ikhlas Taman Pemalang.
The other injured passenger, journalist Geigy Yudhistira, seated in the second row on the left, sustained minor head trauma and facial abrasions.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
