President Jokowi to Receive Medal of Honor from National Police
Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is set to receive the Medal of Honor from the National Police, along with honorary membership in the elite Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob), on Monday morning.
The ceremony will take place at Brimob headquarters in Depok, West Java.
"The Loka Praja Samrakshana Medal of Honor will be awarded to President Joko Widodo for his dedication to protecting the people and ensuring public safety," National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said in a statement.
President Jokowi, who will retire next week after a decade of leadership, will receive the award from National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who previously served as Jokowi's adjutant.
In addition, Jokowi will be inaugurated as an honorary member of Brimob, the National Police's paramilitary and tactical unit.
