Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has accepted the resignations of  Minister of Disadvantaged Regions Development and Transmigration Abdul Halim Iskandar and Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah, ahead of the conclusion of his administration on Oct. 20, 2024.

"The President has received the resignation letters from Abdul Halim Iskandar and Ida Fauziyah from their respective positions," said Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday.

Ari explained that the resignations of Abdul Halim Iskandar and Ida Fauziyah were linked to their new roles as elected members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in the 2024 elections.

President Jokowi has temporarily appointed Airlangga Hartarto, Chief Minister for Economic Affairs, to replace Ida Fauziyah and Muhadjir Effendy, Chief Minister for Cultural Affairs, to succeed Abdul Halim.
