Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto departed Indonesia on Sunday for an official visit to the United Kingdom, where he is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with senior British leaders before continuing on to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum.

In London, Prabowo is set to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss a range of strategic cooperation initiatives, with a focus on economic and maritime affairs, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement.

The Indonesian president is also scheduled to meet King Charles III to discuss environmental protection and conservation issues, including elephant conservation. The meeting is expected to be attended by several prominent global philanthropists, Teddy said.

Following his UK visit, Prabowo will travel to Davos, Switzerland, where he is slated to deliver a keynote address at the World Economic Forum.

Prabowo is also expected to use the Davos forum to engage in dialogues with chief executives of leading multinational corporations, discussing global economic conditions and exploring potential areas of cooperation, according to the statement.
