Jakarta. After being reported missing, Indonesian citizen Revi Cahya Sulihatun, 24, was found to be detained by Japanese authorities for allegedly carrying methamphetamine.

Revi was detained at Kansai International Airport on June 10. The resident of Jladri Village, Buayan District, Kebumen in Central Java is suspected of being involved in the trafficking of 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine. Before traveling to Japan, Revi reportedly transited in Malaysia, where she met someone.

Revi went viral on social media after being reported missing for two days in Japan on June 13. Her family, who lost contact with her, provided a description of her clothing: a pink sweater and a hijab.

The Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) in Osaka received information about Revi's arrest on June 12. Following the report, KJRI Osaka, through the Directorate for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, immediately contacted Revi's family to update them on her condition.
