Jakarta. The Mandiri Indonesia Open 2024 will bring top golf talent and intense competition to the Damai Indah Golf - PIK Course in Jakarta from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. Defending champion Nitithorn Thippong will try to hold onto his title, three-time winner Gaganjeet Bhullar aims for another victory, and local golfer Jonathan Wijono is determined to win for Indonesia.

Jonathan Wijono, known as Jowi, expressed the excitement of competing as the host, emphasizing the need for confidence balanced with focus.

“Being the host gives us many opportunities, but we must not underestimate our competitors. It’s crucial to stay focused and perform at our best to win,” he said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Nitithorn Thippong, who arrived in Jakarta ready to tackle the course, highlighted the challenges he faces. “The course is fantastic, but the greens are tricky. I need to work hard to handle this,” said the Thai golfer, who is committed to regaining his best form with his coach.
