Jakarta. The General Election Commission, or KPU, approved on Sunday the list of 204.8 million voters for the Indonesian colossal elections when they will elect the president, mayors, regents, governors, and parliament members at all levels in the same year.

Never before in the country’s history did voters elect leaders and lawmakers in the same year.

The most-awaited contest will be the presidential election scheduled for February.

"The voters from here and abroad registered in the list include 102,218,503 men and 102,588,719 women, bringing the total number of voters to 204,807,222," KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari said after the conclusion of the KPU plenary session in Jakarta.
