Surabaya. The Indonesian boys’ team defeated Timor Leste 6-2 on Tuesday evening, securing victories in all three group matches and advancing to the semifinal of the ASEAN Football Federation U-19 tournament.

In the final Group A match at Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, Indonesia conceded goals for the first time in the tournament but maintained their winning streak. Dutch-born Jens Raven scored twice, with additional goals from Figo Dennis, Kadek Arel, Arkhan Kaka, and Muhammad Kafiatur.

Timor Leste's captain Ricardo Rorinho Dos Santos scored from the penalty spot midway through the first half, and teammate Alexandro Bahkito added another consolation goal five minutes before the final whistle.

In their previous matches, Indonesia defeated the Philippines 6-0 and secured a 2-0 win over Cambodia.

The tournament's teams are divided into three groups, with group leaders and the best runner-up qualifying for the semifinals. Group B leader Australia and Group C contenders Thailand and Malaysia have also secured semifinal spots.

Malaysia and Thailand each have six points in Group C, but Malaysia tops the standings due to a superior goal difference. Both teams will face each other in Surabaya on Thursday in the final Group C match. The group leader will play Indonesia, while the runner-up will face Australia in the semifinals.

Group A runner-up Timor Leste ended the tournament with three points. Group B runner-up Myanmar currently has two points with only one remaining match, making it unlikely for them to overtake Thailand or Malaysia as the best runner-up.
