Jakarta. The Golkar Party is exploring the possibility of appointing President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo as the Chairman of the Advisory Board at the ongoing Golkar Congress.

“Typically, the Advisory Board consists of senior Golkar members. However, our party's statutes do not explicitly prohibit external individuals from being appointed to this role,” Adies Kadir, Chairman of the Steering Committee for Golkar’s 11th National Congress, said at the party's Congress in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Tuesday.

However, Adies clarified that President Jokowi’s potential role has not yet been discussed or confirmed within the context of the ongoing Rapimnas and Munas.

“As of now, there have been no discussions or announcements about Jokowi's name being considered for the Advisory Board,” Adies concluded.
