Jakarta. Musician and actor Onadio Leonardo, better known as Onad, was arrested on Friday along with his wife, Beby Prisillia, for alleged drug possession at a cafe complex in South Tangerang.

Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson Ade Ary Syam Indradi confirmed the arrest took place at Trifecta West in the Rempoa area of East Ciputat. “He was arrested together with a woman identified as BP, who is his wife,” Ade Ary said in a statement.

Authorities seized several items during the arrest, including a plastic packet containing marijuana, a small box, and three mobile phones. Police also found remnants of ecstasy but said the pills appeared to have already been consumed. “Based on our investigation, only traces of marijuana were found. The ecstasy had likely been used,” Ade Ary said.

Another suspect was detained separately in North Jakarta as part of the same investigation. However, police have yet to confirm whether Beby Prisillia also consumed the narcotics. “We cannot disclose that yet. The lab results are still pending,” Ade Ary said.

The 35-year-old Onad, a former frontman of the rock band Killing Me Inside, rose to fame in the mid-2000s with hit albums such as A Fresh Start for Something New and One Reason. Known for his energetic stage persona and outspoken nature, he later ventured into electronic music, forming the group LYON in 2019 and releasing several popular singles, including Ego and Fiksi yang Indah featuring Danilla Riyadi.

Beyond music, Onad has also built a career in film and digital entertainment. He made his acting debut in the early 2000s and gained acclaim for his role in Pretty Boys (2019), which earned him a Piala Maya Award nomination for Best New Actor. He has since appeared in several films and hosts a YouTube channel known for candid, unfiltered conversations.

Onad married Beby Prisillia, a Garuda Indonesia flight attendant, in 2019. The couple has one son and is known for maintaining a harmonious relationship despite differing religious backgrounds.

The police said the investigation is ongoing as officers conduct forensic tests and interviews. “We are still processing the evidence and questioning the suspects,” said Police Narcotics Director Ahmad David.
