Jakarta. Budget airline Citilink, a subsidiary of flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, announced two new international routes from Denpasar in Bali to Perth and Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

"Both Perth and Kuala Lumpur are promising markets. There are a lot of foreign tourists there who want to visit Bali, the Island of the Gods," Citilink president director Juliandra said in Jakarta.

She said the airline is also targeting young Indonesian travelers on the new routes.

The Denpasar-Perth-Denpasar and Denpasar-Kuala Lumpur-Denpasar routes are the budget airline's seventh and eighth international routes.

The company targets high load factors on both, 75 percent for Denpasar-Perth and 77 percent for Denpasar-Kuala Lumpur, considering that Bali is a prime tourist destination in Indonesia, Juliandra said.

According to the National Statistics Agency (BPS), Malaysians and Australians are right at the top of Indonesia's foreign tourist list.

From January to September this year, 2.34 million Malaysian and 1.02 million Australian tourists visited Indonesia.

Citilink will use an Airbus A320 jet with a capacity of 180 seats on both daily flights.
