Bogor. The Bogor City Police Criminal Investigation Unit has apprehended Dimas, 27, on suspicion of orchestrating a human trafficking scheme through an online prostitution business spanning Greater Jakarta and Indonesia.

For the past six years, Dimas has been operating in the online prostitution sector, where he facilitated transactions involving numerous celebrities, beauty pageant contestants, and golf caddies to affluent clients, charging fees ranging up to tens of millions of rupiah per transaction.

Despite operating for a long time, Dimas proved slippery and difficult for police to detect. In his operations, Dimas would first approach potential buyers or clients and ensure they were safe from police raids.

On Wednesday, Bogor City Police Chief Commissioner Bismo Teguh Prakoso disclosed that Dimas, identified by a distinctive red lip tattoo on his neck, was arrested following the revelation of celebrity prostitution activities at several upscale hotels in Bogor City.

Upon receiving the report, the police swiftly initiated further investigations, leading to Dimas's arrest. Dimas was intercepted while delivering orders for three celebrities to affluent clients.

Preliminary investigations indicated that Dimas had been operating since 2019, accumulating over Rp 300 million ($19,260) from his illicit activities, which involved brokering deals with celebrities, influencers, and golf caddies.

"The suspect has been active from 2019 to 2024. His operation mainly caters to affluent clients seeking prostitution services. We caught him at one of the hotels. This online prostitution service operates in Bogor City, with connections extending to Jakarta, Bandung, Central Java, Bali, and Kalimantan," said Bismo.

Dimas offered women starting from Rp 3 million to Rp 15 million for short-term services, and long-term rates ranged from Rp 10 million to Rp 30 million.

"He primarily utilizes social media platforms such as WhatsApp to offer his services. Once an agreement is reached, he conducts the transaction with the clients," added Bismo.
