Sule Secures Broadcast Deal with BTV for Ramadhan-Themed Series
Jakarta. Entis Sutisna, the renowned TV comedy actor widely known as Sule, has reached a broadcasting agreement with the entertainment and news network BTV for Ramadan-themed programs after he constructed a new studio.
In a recent interview, Sule said these programs will mark his debut as a producer, while he will continue to play the lead actor's role.
Fully funded from his own pocket, the new studio is situated within his residence in Bekasi, West Java.
"I and my team received offers from several TV networks to create programs for the upcoming Ramadan, so we set up a studio at my home,” Sule said. “Once the studio was completed, we received encouraging news that BTV would seriously partner with us to create the programs. In short, we reached a deal, and the series called 'Cari Berkah' [Seeking Blessings] will be my first project in which I’m acting as both the producer and the talent.”
By having a mini studio, Sule aims to provide a platform for colleagues to create content in the show business.
"I used to be an actor, but now I must produce my content, prepare the budget, and secure investment. It caused me headaches initially, but now I’m happy after the studio was completed, allowing me to invite my colleagues to produce their own content and provide new job opportunities for fellow actors," he added.
Before the studio was built, Sule and his small team filmed their programs in a garage at the same home.
The 47-year-old entertainer shared his future plans to construct two or more studios, claiming that his primary concern is not necessarily whether they will generate greater profits.
"I want to facilitate my friends in producing their content. Whether or not they can make a profit from my studio, the most important thing is that I don’t do harm to others," Sule said.
