Singapore. What looked like a heated clash between KNetz and SEAblings online felt far less intense in real life as Seventeen kicked off the Southeast Asian leg of its New_ World Tour in Singapore on March 7.

KNetz refers to Korean netizens, while SEAblings is a term commonly used for Southeast Asian netizens. The two online communities have traded heated comments in recent weeks. The dispute began in late January 2026 after a Day6 concert in Kuala Lumpur, when local fans criticized Korean attendees for allegedly bringing professional cameras into the venue in violation of concert rules.

Seventeen's concert at the Singapore National Stadium marked the group’s first stop in Southeast Asia. The tour will continue in Bangkok for two nights on March 14–15 before heading to Bulacan on March 21.

Only nine members of Seventeen appeared on stage in Singapore, as Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi are currently serving their mandatory military duty. Despite the reduced lineup, the performance maintained the high-energy production the group is known for.

The show opened with “HBD” and “Thunder,” quickly setting the pace for the night. Fans, known as Carats, also welcomed the performance of “To You,” a song many had hoped would appear on the tour setlist. Parts of familiar hits such as “Maestro” and “Clap” were also included, prompting loud sing-alongs throughout the stadium.

During one segment, the members briefly sang the opening theme of Going Seventeen, the group’s long-running YouTube variety series. The moment served as a playful teaser ahead of a special edition comeback expected later this week after the show had been on pause.

Across the venue, thousands of synchronized lightsticks created a sea of Seventeen’s signature rose quartz and serenity blue colors. Fans had traveled from across Asia—including China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Thailand—turning the concert into a regional gathering of Carats.

The night also featured several lighthearted moments. At one point, DK jokingly performed the choreography for “Spell” in front of Dino, drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd.

Solo stages from the Happy Burstday album gave each member time to showcase their individual performances. One of the loudest reactions came when Mingyu appeared for “Shake It Off,” rocking a Calvin Klein set and sunglasses. The stage transitioned directly into S.Coups’s performance of “Jungle,” creating one of the most memorable sequences of the show.

Joshua delivered his solo “Fortunate Change,” while Jun followed with “Gemini.” Fans also reacted loudly to Vernon, whose new mullet-style haircut quickly became a talking point among the audience.

During his performance of “Skyfall,” The8 interacted closely with fans near the stage, while Seungkwan and DK drew strong applause for their live vocals during their solo segments.

By the end of the night, the Singapore stop felt less like a fandom divided by online debates and more like a regional gathering of fans celebrating Seventeen together.
