Jakarta. Celebrity Raffi Ahmad and his family are set to embark on the Hajj pilgrimage this year. Departing for the Holy Land on Saturday, they will be traveling through the luxury Furoda Hajj program, which allows them to bypass the usual 15 to 30-year waiting list.

Furoda Hajj refers to a type of Hajj pilgrimage arrangement that allows Muslims to perform Hajj without going through the usual long waiting list managed by the government in their home countries. This arrangement is made possible through special visas issued directly by the Saudi Arabian government, bypassing the national quotas typically imposed on Hajj pilgrims.

It is estimated that the celebrity family will spend over Rp 5 billion ($300,000) for this pilgrimage.

The husband of actress Nagita Slavina said that despite the substantial cost of the Hajj pilgrimage, it is not an issue for him.

“It’s not about how much money you spend, but rather the intention behind it," said Raffi Ahmad recently.

Raffi also refrained from disclosing the exact cost of their Hajj trip. He emphasized that he did not seek out the most expensive travel agency but rather one that could facilitate their Hajj journey well.

Raffi Ahmad is taking his wife, Nagita Slavina, to the Holy Land, along with his mother Amy Qanita, mother-in-law Rieta Amilia, siblings Syahnaz Sadiqah and Nisya Ahmad, sister-in-law Caca Tengker, and three employees of his company, Rans Entertainment.

According to various sources, Raffi Ahmad is using the services of Jana Madinah Wisata for his family's Hajj pilgrimage. Information about the costs and facilities can be found on the travel agency's website.

The website states that the Furoda Hajj Luxury program is a 17-day Hajj pilgrimage. Pilgrims using this service pay $31,700 or approximately Rp 509.3 million, which is ten times the cost of a regular Hajj. For this amount, pilgrims receive luxury facilities, including five-star hotels, air-conditioned tents, and luxury transportation.

Additionally, the price includes a city tour of Makkah and Madinah, guidance from religious scholars, access to the high-speed train between Makkah and Madinah, and round-trip airfare. Pilgrims also receive a 5-liter allocation of Zamzam water from the Holy Land.

Indonesia, home to the world's largest Muslim population, will send 554 batches of Hajj pilgrims this year. Indonesia has been allocated a total of 241,000 Hajj slots, with 213,320 designated for regular Hajj pilgrims, a program managed directly by the government. The remaining 27,680 slots are reserved for special Hajj pilgrims, who will make their pilgrimage to Mecca using private travel agency services.
