Ex-Model Lisa Mariana Takes DNA Test in Ridwan Kamil Defamation Case
Jakarta. Former model Lisa Mariana arrived at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency in Jakarta on Thursday to undergo a DNA test in connection with a defamation case filed by former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil.
Lisa arrived at around 10:43 a.m. local time, accompanied by her legal team. She wore a cream-colored outfit and declined to comment in detail about her visit to Bareskrim.
“I just hope everything goes smoothly and without any manipulation,” she told reporters briefly.
Ridwan Kamil, widely known as Kang Emil, had arrived earlier at the same location at around 8:56 a.m., wearing a brown jacket and black sunglasses. He also refrained from making any statements to the press, only offering a brief greeting before entering the building.
The controversy began after Lisa posted screenshots on Instagram on March 26, allegedly showing private conversations with a man she claimed was Ridwan Kamil. In the posts, she said she was pregnant and attempted multiple times to contact the individual.
Ridwan Kamil filed a police report on April 11, in which he accused Lisa of defamation. The report seeks Rp105 billion in damages, citing reputational harm, psychological distress, and disruption to his personal and social life following what his legal team described as repeated one-sided media exposure.
“Lisa Mariana made unsubstantiated allegations that our client was involved in an extramarital relationship, caused a pregnancy, and suggested an abortion. None of these claims have been scientifically proven, particularly through DNA testing,” Ridwan Kamil’s legal team said in an earlier statement.
As of Thursday afternoon, both parties remain at Bareskrim as authorities continue the investigation. No official statement has been released regarding the outcome of the DNA test.
