The announcement of Noah's hiatus was initially revealed by the band's lead vocalist, Ariel, at the "The Great Journey of Noah" concert in Bandung, West Java, on Sept.16, 2023.

Noah, formerly known as Peterpan, is an influential Indonesian rock band that has left a mark on the country's music scene. Formed in 2000 in Bandung, West Java, the band underwent a name change in 2012 and has since continued to captivate audiences with its distinctive sound and meaningful lyrics. The relatable lyrics resonate with the real-life experiences of many people, contributing to the band's enduring popularity in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Lead vocalist Nazriel Irham, also known as Ariel, said that he had been contemplating plans for a hiatus since November. Feeling tired after a 21-year career in the music industry, he expressed the band's decision to take a brief break to rejuvenate.

"It's quite exhausting after playing in a band for 21 years. So, we've agreed to take a short break to relieve our fatigue," the charismatic frontman said during an interview in Cilandak, South Jakarta, last November.

When asked about his plans during the hiatus, Ariel revealed that he hasn't made any decisions yet, taking into account the numerous pending commitments that need to be fulfilled. Currently, Ariel intends to prioritize spending more time with his only daughter, Alleia Anata.
