PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) received an award from the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) for its dedication in improving teacher competence in Indonesia through Indonesia Digital Learning (IDL) training program, which is consistently implemented since 2014.

The award was given by PGRI Chairman Unifah Rosyidi to Human Capital Management Director of Telkom Herdy R. Harman to the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, and West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, at the ceremony of the 72nd Anniversary PGRI and National Teachers Day 2017 at Patriot Candrabaga Stadium, Bekasi City, Saturday (2/12).

Human Capital Management Director of Telkom Herdy R. "Along with the rapid development of ICT, teachers as a key role in teaching and learning activities should have the ability to utilize ICT in a qualified way to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools, so that teachers are expected to contribute to ensure the achievement of student learning competencies. IDL aims to realize digital-based learning in schools so as to create a mutually supportive digital society between schools, teachers, and students. Once again, thanks to PGRI for the cooperation that has been established so far and the appreciation given to Telkom, "said Herdy R. Harman.

The online questions that will be collected are a collection of questions from Indonesian teachers who have been validated in accordance with the standard question or the curriculum of education in Indonesia.

For students, the online platform of question bank is expected to help test the knowledge and competency achievement in accordance with national education standard. For the school, the platform of the problem can support the preparation of strategies for improving the learning process. As for the government, the question platform is expected to help mapping the performance of education units in Indonesia, as the basic material for policy making.

The IDL Training 2017 was held in five cities in Indonesia, namely Serang City on November 28-29, Cirebon on 4-5 December, Solo on 7-8 December, Pidi on 12-13 December and Lombok on 14-15 December 2017.
