Mayora Indah to Pay Shareholders Rp782B in Dividend

Jakarta. Food and beverage company Mayora Indah (MYOR) announced Tuesday it will distribute dividends totaling Rp 782.55 billion ($52.7 million) or Rp 35 per share to shareholders.

The dividend payout, scheduled for July 11, accounts for 39.72 percent of the company’s Rp 1.97 trillion net profit achieved last year.

After the shareholders’ meeting in Jakarta earlier in the day, Mayora Director Ricky Afrianto said the company invested Rp 2.1 trillion in business expansion for this year.

“As of March, we have spent around Rp 780 billion of that amount,” he wrote in a public filing.

Mayora is building two new biscuit factories in Balaraja and Purwosari with a total investment of Rp 3.7 trillion and they are expected to come into operation next year and add production capacity by 200,000 tons a year.

The producer of the famous coffee candy Kopiko has targeted a 10 percent rise in sales to Rp 33.7 trillion and a net profit of Rp 2.67 trillion for this year.
