Jakarta. Indonesian consumer goods company Sari Murni Abadi (SMA), best known as the maker of Momogi snacks, has acquired Vietnam’s Bibica Corporation in a move to accelerate its global expansion.

Bibica is considered one of Vietnam’s largest confectionery and biscuit manufacturers. The acquisition was made from PAN Group, though neither party disclosed the transaction value.

SMA Chief Financial Officer Servin said the acquisition aligns with the company’s ambition to grow its international footprint and strengthen its position as a producer and distributor of fast-moving consumer goods across overseas markets.

“Through this collaboration with Bibica Vietnam, we believe the synergy will improve cross-border production and distribution efficiency,” Servin said in a statement on Monday.

He added that SMA’s product portfolio will become broader, extending from snacks to biscuits and other confectionery categories, while also enabling cross-border integration in manufacturing, innovation, and supply chains.

“The synergy will strengthen product innovation, expand export reach, and enhance R&D capabilities,” Servin said.

According to Bibica’s official website, the Vietnamese brand is recognized nationally with a wide range of products in biscuits, cakes, and sugar-based confectionery. Its distribution network serves more than 100,000 outlets nationwide.

Bibica operates modern manufacturing facilities in Long An and Hanoi, and exports to markets including Japan, South Korea, and the United States.
