Indonesia Takes Home $52.9 Million Tourism Investments at 2024 ITIF
Jakarta. Indonesia has attracted potential investment deals worth around $52.9 million at the 2024 International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF), the government announced on Monday.
According to Tourism Ministry’s senior official Nia Niscaya, the event, which took place in June, saw 750 participants coming from 29 countries. The forum also had 445 potential investors.
“The potential investments are worth around $52.9 million,” Nia told the press.
Some of the business deals include one that involved the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority and the East Nusa Tenggara branch of the state utility firm PLN. They have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on an investment deal related to the Parapuar Park. According to Nia, progress is underway for the investment deals that Indonesian tourism has booked at 2024 ITIF as the project has already seen the installation of electric poles.
“It is beginning to take shape,” Nia said.
The Lake Toba Tourism Agency and the hospitality firm Agung Toba Nauli also inked a Lake View cooperation MoU at the 2024 ITIF.
Other deals include a cable car project in Ciater. French cable car company POMA has agreed to take part in the project. Signing the MoU at the event was Kamara Citra Destinasi Indonesia as POMA’s representative and Sari Bumi Mas.
JTA International Investment Holding and movie director Hanung Bramantyo also agreed to work together for a Gamplong studio.
