Finance Minister Purbaya Chairs Committee to Pick New OJK Leaders
Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has formed a selection committee to appoint replacements for outgoing commissioners at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), naming Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as chair.
Purbaya will work alongside eight other members, including Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo, as well as senior monetary and financial officials Suahasil Nazara, Bambang Eko Suhariyanto, Aida S. Budiman, Erwan Agus Purwanto, Dhahana Putra, Muhammad Rullyandi, and Gusti Aju Dewi.
The committee was established following the resignation of several top OJK officials in late January, including OJK Chairman Mahendra Siregar, Vice Chairman Mirza Adityaswara, Capital Markets and Carbon Exchange Chief Executive Inarno Djajadi, and Deputy Commissioner for Issuers and Securities Transactions Aditya Jayaantara.
“The filling of these positions is aimed at ensuring leadership continuity, strengthening governance, and optimizing OJK’s duties and functions as an independent institution overseeing Indonesia’s financial services sector,” the selection committee said in a statement released Wednesday.
The recruitment process will be conducted in four stages: administrative screening; public input, track-record review, and paper assessment; competency and medical evaluations; and a final affirmation or interview phase.
Candidate registration opened on Wednesday through the official portal at seleksi-dkojk.kemenkeu.go.id.
