Danamon Books Rp 3.5 Trillion in Net Profit for 2023
Jakarta. Bank Danamon Indonesia (BDMN) has announced a net profit of Rp 3.5 trillion ($223.9 million) in 2023, marking a notable 6 percent year-on-year increase.
The bank's operating profit also witnessed a robust growth of 7 percent, reaching Rp 18.2 trillion over the same period, Danamon CEO Daisuke Ejima said in a news conference in Jakarta on Monday.
Ejima outlined the bank's strategic focus on fortifying its business foundations for the upcoming three years. This involves improvements in IT and digital infrastructures, expansion of branches and ATM networks, recruitment of qualified personnel, and the cultivation of a favorable brand image in the market.
“These strategies are geared towards sustaining double-digit growth in credit disbursement and finance while ensuring sustainable profitability,” he said.
Danamon has set an ambitious target of achieving a 10 percent growth in credit disbursement for the current year, building upon the impressive figure of Rp 174.9 trillion recorded in 2023. Last year's credit disbursement marked a remarkable 19 percent surge compared to 2022.
