In Mitsubishi Fuso's campaign to change our perception of truck drivers and create a positive impact, Mitsubishi Fuso released a video showing how much truck drivers contribute to our daily lives, which you can watch here.

Along with Iwan Fals, Indonesia's living music legend, Mitsubishi Fuso took their campaign on the road to 10 cities, holding concerts and showcasing the endurance of the Mitsubishi Fuso Colt Diesel FE 74.

Continuing that effort, Mitsubishi Fuso has launched their #FusoKontribusi campaign, inviting everyone to help create a positive change towards the lives of truck drivers through social media.

Here’s what you can do to contribute:

Change our own perception on truck drivers

As said earlier, truck drivers are the most under-appreciated jobs out there, they put food on our table and deliver our goods and needs everyday. Businesses wouldn’t run without them. And yet being a truck driver still bears that stigma of somehow being ‘beneath’ us.

The change we can make is simple, yet challenging; changing our own perception. Once we have learned to appreciate what they do, it will be much easier to understand how much of a role they play in our daily lives. Once we have changed our own opinions, perhaps we can then move to spread appreciation further.

Raise awareness about what they do

By raising awareness of those around us, people will sooner know and learn to appreciate the daily luxuries made possible by truck drivers. Truck drivers deliver our food, building materials, commercial goods among many other things.

Trucks play a big role in the development of roads and buildings. What we can do appreciate what they do is simply to share to people close in our lives, whether it be directly or through social media, the deeds of our truck drivers that have gone unnoticed for so long.

Another way to show your appreciation would be to simply be thankful. We seldom realize how truly lucky we are to lead the lives we lead. We live in age of simplicity where everything is instant and interconnected through social media and apps but at the same time litters our phones, computers and attention with distractions.

Truck drivers work very hard for the money they earn, yet they still manage to do their job stoically, despite only earning a minimum wage. What we can do is take a step back from everything and appreciate a little more by saying thank you, and realize the value of what we have because they come from the sweat of our hard-working truck drivers.

Make a post on social media with the hashtag #FusoKontribusi

In the previous campaign, Mitsubishi Fuso was hard at work with raising awareness about the lives of truck drivers, and now with the #FusoKontribusi campaign, we too can show our appreciation and impact the lives of our truck drivers in a very real way.

By simply creating a post, any post on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, we can further raise awareness about the good deeds of our truck drivers. With every single post on social media with the hashtag ‘#FusoKontribusi’, Mitsubishi Fuso will donate Rp. 10,000 and convert them into scholarships for children of truck drivers.

The more posts you make, the more impact you will have creating real contributions to the lives of our truck drivers and their families.
