Jakarta. Energy logistics company RMK Energy (RMKE), through its subsidiary Royaltama Mulia Kencana (RMUK), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medco E&P Lematang to utilize a 500-square-meter land area in Bangun Sari Village, Gunung Megang District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.

The land will be used to build a hauling road facility integrated with RMKE’s existing coal-loading station in Gunung Megang. The project forms part of RMKE’s broader plan to develop road access connecting to two high-potential coal mine sites in Muara Enim and Tanjung Enim.

This initiative is expected to accelerate the completion of RMKE’s hauling road network, which will strengthen connectivity to various developing coal resources across the Enim region. Once fully operational, the infrastructure will significantly improve coal transportation efficiency, reducing logistical bottlenecks and supporting the government’s efforts to achieve national energy resilience.

“Through this collaboration, we can immediately complete the access link between potential mine sites and our loading station. The facility will accelerate our long-term goal of transporting up to 20 million tons of coal with seamless connectivity to underdeveloped mining areas currently facing logistical constraints in South Sumatra,” said Vincent Saputra, President Director of RMK Energy.

RMKE’s hauling road project is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to expand its sustainable infrastructure network and enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia’s mining and logistics sectors.

“With this strategic synergy, RMKE reaffirms its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development that contributes to national energy security and regional economic growth,” Vincent added.
