IN2MOTIONFEST Shows 1,785 Collections, Books Rp 7.2 Billion Transactions

Jakarta. The 2025 IN2MOTIONFEST, short for Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival, recently ended on a high note with transactions worth billions of rupiahs.

The annual event took place on Oct. 8-12 at Jakarta’s JIEXPO Convention Center and Theater as part of the 2025 Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival. This year, Bank Indonesia’s Governor Perry Warjiyo kicked off the five-day event that embraced the theme: “One Vision, One Movement: Advancing Indonesia Modest Fashion Through Synergy & Collaboration”.

As many as 214 designers from home and abroad put on their thinking cap to combine Indonesian traditional textiles and sustainability while remaining modest. Their creativity led to a total of 1,785 collections spread across 20 fashion shows. Participants got to see the works of local designers such as Si.Se.Sa, Dian Pelangi, Ayu Dyah Andari, Lisa Fitria, and many more. Other designers also included DINI by Dhini Aminarti, Khanaan, Hannie Hananto, kami., Restu Anggraini, Irna La Perle, Nuniek Mawardi, Sofie, Rosie Rahmadi, Fomalhaut Zamel, Jenahara, KursienKarzai, Wignyo, Itang Yunasz, Ali Charisma, and DedenSiswanto.

IN2MOTIONFEST partnered with 11 international designers, namely Yodyoko (Thailand), Ami Dhaka (Bangladesh), Bench Bello and Jay R Flores (the Philippines), FIZIWOO (Malaysia), Gokhan Yavas and QOOQ (Turkey), Laura Matilde Lampugnani (Italy), Madame & Mister Sibarita (Spain), Mkayali (Australia), and Sheida (Dubai).

The fashion show reflected how diverse Indonesian textiles that range from batik, songket, ikat, hand-woven fabrics, lurik, tapis, sasirangan, jumputan, embroidery, knitted, and eco-prints. It shows how much the Indonesian sharia creative industry, particularly modest fashion, had progressed. 

Businesses did not return home empty-handed. The event had business matchings that saw commitments worth over Rp 8.9 billion ($535,682), including the Wastra business matching program. As many as 100 textile micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, many of whom are fostered by Bank Indonesia and other government institutions, according to the press release. 

More than 90,955 visitors came to the exhibition area, which recorded transactions worth over Rp 7.2 billion. The clearance sale for charity, the first of its kind at IN2MOTIONFEST, raised over Rp 150 million.
