Jakarta. The government recently launched the Accelerating Capital Resources for Medium Enterprises (ACCES) to help medium-scale companies level up.

Spearheading the program is the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

ACCES provides innovative and inclusive financing for Indonesia's medium-sized enterprises with a ceiling of up to Rp 20 billion ($1.2 million). Through access, the government aims to connect medium enterprises and various financial institutions, both banks and non-banks, through business profiling, education, mentoring, and structured financing business matching.

"This program shows the MSME Ministry's commitment to helping our MSMEs level up. Medium-sized enterprises have high added value and can serve as anchors for small businesses in supply chain partnerships," Bagus Rachman, a deputy for medium-sized businesses at the MSME Ministry, said.

According to Bagus, medium-sized enterprises are also key to creating jobs and adding value to domestic products. Cross-ministerial collaboration and financial support are also pivotal to the continued growth of this sector.

The program allows entrepreneurs to access various innovative financing schemes through banking, fintech lending, securities crowdfunding, and the capital market. Entrepreneurs can sign up via the accescapital.id website.

ACCES is expected to facilitate the microcredit cluster consultations and innovative financing business matching. It also holds a forum that aims to help medium-sized businesses to go public. The program also seeks to encourage such enterprises to penetrate the global market through exports, while also strengthening partnerships with the smaller businesses.

Businesses that are eligible for the ACCES facilities are medium-sized businesses with an annual turnover of Rp 15-50 billion or a capital of Rp 5-10 billion. They must also show their financial statements from the last two years, complete business legality, demonstrate growth potential, and have measurable financing needs.
