Indonesian Police Seize 198 Tons of Narcotics in 2025 Crackdown
Jakarta. Indonesian police have seized 198 tons of narcotics across the country between January and mid-October 2025, marking one of the largest drug enforcement operations in recent years.
The confiscated drugs include 184.64 tons of marijuana, 6.95 tons of crystal methamphetamine, and smaller quantities of ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, and ketamine, police said on Wednesday.
Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crimes at the National Police, said authorities uncovered 38,934 drug cases nationwide and arrested 51,763 suspects during the period.
“All seized narcotics have been or will soon be destroyed in accordance with legal procedures,” Eko told reporters at a press conference in Jakarta.

Investigations this year revealed 22 money-laundering cases involving 29 suspects, with Rp 221.3 billion ($13.3 million) in assets confiscated.
“The seized assets include Rp 18.8 billion in cash and Rp 202.5 billion worth of movable and immovable property,” Eko said.
Confiscated movable assets comprised 45 cars, 43 motorcycles, four heavy machines, 14 luxury watches, and several gold and precious metal items. Non-movable assets included certified land plots in 18 locations and buildings in 19 sites.
