Jakarta. Elnusa, a subsidiary of the state-owned company Pertamina, issued an apology on Saturday following allegations of harassment by a human resources staffer towards a female job applicant.

The company confirmed that the employee in question has been suspended pending an internal investigation.

Social media posts have identified the staffer as Robi Chandra, who allegedly inquired about the breast size of a woman applying for a secretary position and requested her pictures posing with only a bra in conversations on the job market app LinkedIn.

One screenshot from Robi’s texts reads, "Do you intend to join the selection? I think you are pretty. What is your breast size? Previous applicants have small sizes.”

Robi has been suspended "to undergo an investigation and face possible disciplinary sanctions according to existing regulations," Elnusa said on the statement posted on its social media accounts.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” the statement reads.

The company also indicated that Robi could face a criminal investigation if proven to have sexually harassed the job applicant.

Elnusa did not clarify whether Robi is a permanent employee or a subcontract worker from a hiring agency.
