$500,000 Porsche Wrecked: Suspect JS Identified in Tangerang Showroom Crash
Tangerang. The Teluk Naga Police Station has identified JS, aged 42, as a suspect in the collision case at Ivan's Motor luxury car dealership showroom located in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Tangerang City.
According to Teluk Naga Police Chief Wahyu, JS was driving his SUV on Wednesday under the influence of alcohol, resulting in a collision with a Porsche GT3 car valued at $579,000 (Rp 8.9 billion) displayed at the showroom.
"He was intoxicated, having consumed vodka. He confessed to being drunk and mentioned his intention to visit the showroom," he said on Friday.
Wahyu further added that JS claimed to be acquainted with the showroom's owner. Investigations are ongoing to determine if there was any intention behind the incident.
"He mentioned knowing the owner, but we are uncertain if the owner was familiar with him. It's solely his claim," Wahyu clarified.
Moreover, Wahyu disclosed that JS is currently detained and undergoing rigorous interrogation at the Teluk Naga Police Station.
Previously, a video circulating on social media depicted a Mitsubishi Xpander crashing into a luxury car showroom at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2.
The video showed a black-colored Xpander colliding with the showroom, causing glass shattering. The Xpander collided with a luxury Porsche GT3 car exhibited for sale, resulting in damage to its front portion.
