Jakarta. Indonesian band D’Masiv is finally stepping onto the international stage. The group is set to fly to the United States to record three new English-language songs at Clear Lake Studio in California.

D’Masiv’s vocalist, Rian Ekky Pradipta, said that the chance to record abroad has long been the band’s dream.

“Finally, we can fulfill our intention and dream to record overseas. We will fly to the United States to record our new English songs. Hopefully, this will be the first step for us to go international,” he said on Sunday.

Over the course of two weeks, D’Masiv will undergo the recording process with the help of a talented producer and music engineers who have previously worked with Coldplay, Elton John, Shakira, The Killers, and even Lisa from Blackpink.

Rian hopes this opportunity will pave the way for D’Masiv’s international career.

“The reason we’re going that far is because we’ve been in the Indonesian music industry for 18 years, so we need to take the next step by experiencing an international recording process. Especially since those who will assist us are great people who have worked with world-class musicians. Besides, none of us is 40 yet, so we still have the energy to go international,” he added.

Previously, in 2020, D’Masiv released a live album titled Live Acoustic @ Abbey Rd, which was recorded at the prestigious Abbey Road Studio in London, UK. The studio is well-known among music lovers worldwide and was immortalized by the legendary band The Beatles as the title of their 11th album, released in 1969.

That 2020 achievement was a special surprise for fans from the group’s lineup: Rian (vocals), Dwiki (guitar), Damar (guitar), Rayyi (bass), and Wahyu (drums).
