Jakarta. The Investor Daily Summit (IDS), Indonesia’s largest annual investment forum, is set to take place Wednesday and Thursday at the Jakarta Convention Center, bringing together investors, policymakers, business leaders, and global economists for two days of high-level discussions.

This year’s event -- themed “New Economic Order” -- comes at a pivotal time for the global economy, marked by rising US protectionism, weakened global trade institutions, and geopolitical tensions from ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

The summit aims to explore how Indonesia can safeguard its economy and sustain competitiveness amid global uncertainty and realignments in trade and investment flows.

“When global economic uncertainty rises, new power centers begin to emerge,” said Djaka Susila, chairman of the IDS 2025 organizing committee. “The question is how Indonesia will position itself -- and whether current policies are enough to navigate these changes. The summit will address that.”

President Prabowo Subianto is expected to open the summit with a keynote address, followed by presentations from at least five senior economic ministers outlining current and upcoming government strategies.

Among the confirmed speakers are Investment Minister and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cooperatives and SMEs Minister Ferry Juliantono.

The first day will feature two world-renowned economists -- Justin Yifu Lin of Peking University and Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University -- who will share insights on global economic and geopolitical dynamics, including the rise of new economic alliances and the shifting balance of trade.

Organizers say IDS 2025 will serve as both a policy dialogue and a strategic investment showcase, promoting opportunities across infrastructure, energy, technology, tourism, and the creative economy.

“Investor Daily Summit provides a platform for dialogue among the private sector, government, and academia — not only to share perspectives but also to generate practical solutions,” Djaka said.

The summit also aims to give the Indonesian government an opportunity to hear directly from business leaders and investors, while allowing the private sector to exchange views and offer constructive input on regulatory and market reforms.

Open to the public, Investor Daily Summit 2025 is expected to draw thousands of participants from across industries and countries, reaffirming its role as a premier forum for business and investment policy discourse in Southeast Asia.
