Indonesia’s Bird’s Nest Exporter RLCO Soars 34% on Market Debut
Jakarta. East Java–based bird’s nest exporter Abadi Lestari Indonesia (RLCO) made a strong debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Monday, with its shares surging 34.52 percent in early trading before hitting the exchange’s upper limit.
RLCO’s stock was suspended at Rp 226 per share due to an auto-reject top halt, after opening at Rp 168. The company became the 25th issuer to list on the IDX in 2025.
During the initial public offering, the company released 625 million shares — equivalent to 20 percent of its paid-up capital — raising Rp 105 billion ($6.3 million) and commanding an initial market capitalization of approximately Rp 525 billion. Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia acted as the lead underwriter with full commitment.
RLCO President Director Edwin Pranata said the listing marks a major transformation for the company, shifting from raw commodity exporting to value-added consumer health products.
“This funding will strengthen our supply chain and increase production capacity both at the parent company and subsidiaries,” Edwin said. “We are proud to grow from Bojonegoro and bring value-added Indonesian products to global markets.”
From Raw Commodity to Premium Wellness Brand
The company plans to allocate 56.33 percent of the IPO proceeds toward working capital for purchasing edible bird’s nest raw materials. The remaining 43.67 percent will be invested in subsidiary Realfood Winta Asia for the same purpose.
Originally focused solely on exporting raw bird’s nests, RLCO has expanded its portfolio into the consumer wellness industry, producing processed bird’s nest beverages, high-protein chicken broth, collagen supplements, and a range of protein-based nutritional products designed for daily energy, recovery, and long-term vitality.
RLCO exports its processed products to China, while its subsidiary handles exports to other markets along with processing, cleaning operations, and trading of health products.
The company targets Indonesia’s growing upper-middle consumer segment, which it says offers strong long-term potential in the premium health and nutrition industry.
