BI Survey: Indonesia's Business Activity Strengthens in Q2
Jakarta. Business activity in Indonesia strengthened in the second quarter of 2026, with more companies reporting improving operating conditions than deteriorating ones, according to Bank Indonesia's latest Business Survey.
The central bank said the survey's Weighted Net Balance (WNB), which measures whether more businesses reported improving or worsening conditions.
"The improvement was reflected in a WNB of 12.97%, higher than 10.11% recorded in the previous quarter," Bank Indonesia Communications Department Head Ramdan Denny Prakoso said in a statement on Friday.
The stronger performance was driven by gains across most major sectors, including agriculture, forestry and fisheries, construction, mining and quarrying, as well as accommodation and food services. Bank Indonesia attributed the improvement to sustained business activity and resilient consumer demand during the Eid holiday period and the school vacation season.

Looking ahead, respondents expect business activity to remain resilient in the third quarter, with the WNB projected at 11.75%.
